All puppies out of our S-litter have found their own homes. The time really flies, it's only less than 2 weeks and then our little cuties are moving to their own families.

Kirsti's litter is born
Our S-litter out of "Kirsti" (FIN&RUS CH Dirlian Nice Surprise) and "Nuusku" (FIN&S CH Standard-bearer Neptunus) was born yesterday. Everything went very well, and Kirsti whelped a litter of 6 puppies, 2 boys and 4 girls. Althought Kirsti got her litter quite early, all the puppies are very good sized (almost 400g), and anxiously eating all the time. Also Kirsti is fine after her hard job.
Here's the first pics of the few hours old puppies, I'll make a own page for them soon.

Puppy news!
A new Champion!
We spent today a long day at Hyvinkää Spaniel Club Main Show. 55 WSS entered, Mr David Shields from UK was judging the breed. 4 of Dirlians were shown today. The best result of them got Dirlian Quack Quack aka "Mikki", who finally placed 3rd in best male competition. Mikki took also his last CC and finished his FIN CH title. Mikki hasn't had a very bad autumn at all, 2 months, 3 shows, 3 CC's and approved working test! Very well done, Mikki & owners Hanna and Harri! The breeder sends also greetings to "Roni" Dirlian Onslow, who stayed at home when other family were at Hyvinkää.

Also 3 other Dirlians were shown, with results : Dirlian Rhisiart Lion VG/2, Dirlian Rhian Of Wales VG/3 and Dirlian Quite Nice VG/3. Our breeders group placed 3rd and got hp.

Mating-news
"Kirsti" aka FIN & RUS CH Dirlian Nice Surprise is now mated with FIN & S CH Standard-Bearer Neptunus "Nuusku". Now we'll just keep hoping that we'll have puppies in the end of November.

Orimattila Group Show

Because we're still waiting the right moment for Kirsti's mating , we had plenty of time to took part the Hyvinkää group show today with 3 of Dirlians. A brother and a sister, "Mikki" (Dirlian Qauck Quack) and "Nanouh" (Dirlian Quite Nice) did very well: Mikki was placed 2nd in best male competition taking CC, and Nanouh placed 3rd in best bitch competition taking also CC. Also charming young "Riku", Dirlian Rhisiart Lion was shown today first time in junior class with result "very good". Mrs Vera Smirnova from Estonia was judging the breed today. Thanks for the lovely (but cold!) day to all concerned and concratulations to Mikki, Nanouh and their owners!
Nasu in Latvia
Nasu aka Fin&Nor&Est&Rus&Ltu Ch Dirlian Officially Olga continues her succesful trips abroad. Today Nasu was shown in Ventpils (Latvia) all breeds show. Nasu was the only Welsh Springer who got excellent so she won best of breed, taking also CC which means she got also Lv Ch title. Because she already has titles Est & Ltu Ch she's now also Balt Ch. In group Nasu placed 4th. The judge in breed was Mrs Vera Smirnova from Estonia, in group Mrs Rita Kadike-Skadina, Latvia. Well done again, Nasu and folks!

Puppy-news
Kirsti started her season at last, so probably we're travelling to Iisalmi to meet Mr Nuusku in the end of the week. If everything goes fine, it seems that we'll have puppies in the same time in the end of the November as last year. More details about this upcoming litter you'll find from here .
Vantaa National Ch show
We spent a nice and sunny day at Vantaa all breeds show. A mother and her daughter- Maija and Riina, aka Dirlian Open Secret and Dirlian Rhian of Wales were shown today. This was our little Riina's first visit to junior class and the beginning wasn't so bad: She got excellent and placed finally 4th in best bitch class. Her dam Maija was one step better this time, with placement 3rd in best bitch class, she took also res-CC. The judge in Vantaa was Mrs Gillian McDowell from Ireland.
This is Riina's first critique in junior class/official classes:
"This is only a baby, but she already has a lovely body to grow into. Sweet head and expression. Nice tight feet. Good luck with her."

Nasu in Lithuania
"Nasu" aka Fin&Nor&Est&Rus Ch Dirlian Officially Olga was shown in Vilnius all breeds Show yesterday. Nasu won BOB and took also CC so that means she may add a new Ch title, Ltu Ch among her other Ch titles. The judge in Vilnius was Mrs Androné Babieskiene. Congratulations, Nasu and the Lindholm-family!

Greetings from Vyborg
Yesterday w had a eventful trip to Vyborg, Russia where was held two all breeds shows during the same day in the same place. When we started our trip towards the the border at half past five o'clock in the morning from Kotka, my Corolla was full loaded with Springers, four of Suvi's English Springers and two of my own Welshies, Kirsti and Maija. When we had driven enough in the bumpy roads of Vyborg we finally found to the showground which was marked wrong on the map. We even were there in good time because we luckily managed to be in the customs of Russia just before the bigger rush. Then in the showground we had a long wait before something started to happend, group 8 were judged so late as at 4 o'clock at afternoon. Happily to weather was warm and dry!
To the first show entered Maija (Dirlian Open Secret), Mrs M. Ostrovskaja was judging. 2 wss entered, Maija was chosen to win BOS, BOB was a finnish male Fin Ch Alexway's Red Hot Chili. Both of them got also CC. To the second Show enterd Kirsti (Fin Ch Dirlian Nice Surprise). This time was Kirsti better and won BOB and CC, the sama male was BOS. Again both of then got also CC, so Kirsti has now a new title, Rus Ch. The judge in this show was Mrs Anna Tits from Russia.
After a very long day we finally started our trip to home, my car loaded even more full with all those dogfood buckets Suvi's springers has got from their groupwins. Luckily there was still some space to one little Maija in the backseat. I think it's some kind of wonder that all that stuff didn't fell on top of that russian border guard who opened just that door... It was nice that travelling home didn't took so long as in the morning with all that queueing in customs, when we crossed the borderline and were back in Finland it felt like we've been almost at home. When I've had dropped Suvi and his gang out in Kotka and taken Maija to her home in Pernaja, I and Kirsti were finally at home in the midnight, tired but satisfied about the trip gone well. Thanks again for Suvi and her springers for the nice company!
A new field test result
"Mikki" aka Dirlian Quack Quack passed his field today in Mikkeli at his first try. Well done, Mikki and Hanna!
Pori Int Ch Show
We spent a nice and sunny day in Pori Int Ch Show yesterday. "Riina" aka Dirlian Rhian Of Wales was shown last time in puppyclass, once again with result BOB-puppy. Her dam "Maija" aka Dirlian Open Secret took placement best bitch 3rd winning also res-CC and res-CACIB. Also Fin Ch Dirlian Nice Surprise aka "Kirsti" was shown, with result exellent and 2nd in championclass.
Thanks to Suvi for the company, we had 7 Springers travelling with us and all went so nice. We even finally find the showground in time after we'd got lost a couple of times...
BOB-puppies
Two of our R-pups, Riina and her brother Riku, officially known as Dirlian Rhian of Wales and Dirlian Rhisiart Lion were shown once again in this weekend. On Saturday in Tuusula all breeds Show won Riina BOB-puppy and Riku-BOS puppy, the judge in Tuusula were Mr John Thirlwell, UK, breeder of Ferndel WSS.
On Sunday at Hyvinkää all breeds Show won Riku again hp being BOB-puppy in this time, Riina stayed at home. Mrs Annaliisa Heikkinen judged the breed. Congrats to Riku and owners Petra and Jani for this weekends results!
Thought it was really hot and sunny weather at this weekend, luckily it wasn't too much for the dogs and they did well. In fact, after we'd returned home on Saturday, Riina seemed not tired at all and that energetic little maiden of Wales spent the rest of the evening digging her dear squeeky crocodile around our garden again and again.
Obedience test result
Uffe aka FIN CH Dirlian Offspring took part obedience test in Valkeakoski at Tuesday. After weekend's agility test Uffe showed his capabilites in obedience tests and gained results 1 and 164 points in the novice class. Well done, Uffe and Terhi!

FIN CH Dirlian Offspring aka Uffe got again result 0 mistakes and won the whole class MAXI I in agility competitions at Valkeakoski today. Uffe has now 2 x "LUVA" ( = kind of agility certificate), 3 of them is needed entering to upper class. This is Uffe's best result in agility so far, so congratulations, Uffe and Terhi!

Our little "Riina" aka Dirlian Rhian Of Wales, 6 months, won BOB -puppy at Springer Spaniel Club Specialty yesterday. Mrs Christine McDonald from UK ( Northey WSS known) were judging the breed. In final competitions judge Mrs Sally Leslie put english springer (Adamant's Royal Romance) first so Riina went BIS 2-puppy.

Very nice feminine baby. Lovely outline.Very good type, very good balance. Good movement. Good mouth. Good coat.
Also other Dirlians was shown, here's the results: "Riku" aka D. Rhisiart Lion 4th in malepuppies aged 5-7 months, "Uffe aka FIN CH D. Offspring very good and 3rd in working class and "Nanouh" aka D. Quite Nice very good and 4th in open class.

First R-puppies in the showring
On Saturday the first two of our R-puppies started their show career in very early age at the "little puppy class" in the Spaniel Club Specialty II in Lohja. "Riku" aka Dirlian Rhisiart Lion placef first in male puppies, her sister "Riina", Dirlian Rhian Of Wales came 2nd. Both of them seems to be thinking that a dog show is a very nice place where you'll meet plenty of kind people and dogs! Mrs Karin Brostam-Berglund (breeder of Don's WSS ) from Sweden were judging the breed.

Uffe in agility again
"Uffe" aka Fin Ch Dirlian Offspring and his owner Terhi took part in the agility competitions at Tampere this weekend. And they did it well, this was their first result with 0 misstakes, their placement were 2nd with "LUVA".
Puppy news
My breeding Dirlian Nylon Nancy aka Pirre delivered 1 male and 5 female puppies 12.3. The sire of the litter is Rocbee Oliver Twist, both parents have A-hips. Pirre and her puppies are living at family Kauppi Kaarteenaho in Vaala, the breeder of this litter is Sari Kauppinen, Kennel Rocbee.

Start of the show year
At Valkeala group show 5.3.2005 was shown the first Dirlian dogs in this year. And our yougsters did well, best male 2nd and res-CC took young Dirlian Quack Quack aka "Mikki" and his sister Dirlian Quite Nice aka "Nanouh" was 4th at best bitch class taking also res-CC. The "O-sisters" D. Olive On A Bus and Fin&N&Est&Rus Ch D. Officially Olga got also both excellent. Our breeders group went 2nd with hp. Mr Paavo Mattila were judging and 18 wss entered.
Changes in phone numbers
We have not any more our wire phone, so the best way to contact us is by mobile phone or email. It's also probable that our email adress will chance during this spring as soon as I get my internet connections working decently.
Uffe in agility
"Uffe" aka Fin Ch Dirlian Offspring and his mistressTerhi took part in the agility competitions at Tampere this weekend. This was their first start with result, and we wish good luck to Uffe and Terhi also in the future events.
Inkku has moved to her own home
The last puppy of the Maija's and Fonzi's litter, Dirlian Rhonwen White, our adorable "Inkku" has moved to her own home. Inkku lives now in Jyväskylä with family Elgland and golden retriever Miku. All the luck to little Inkku in her new life!
Sad news
Our dearest Tyyne, Int & Fin& Est Ch EstW-98 Rocbee Victoria Cross slept away at 6th January here at home. I can´s find enough words to tell how much I miss her. Our home feels so empty. Dear Tyyne, sleep well, we'll always remember You.
Missing own home
One of the Maija's and Fonzi's daughters, Dirlian Rhonwen White or "Inkeri" as we call her is still missing her own loving home. "Inkeri" is very merry, funny and brave puppy.

All our R-puppies except "Inkeri" has moved to their own homes. Good luck, Emmi, Rhett, "Väinö", Lulu, Rhodri, Riina and Riku! Our own hope of the future is Dirlian Rhian of Wales aka Riina who lives with her mum Maija in Pernaja and is co-owned with Marja Suomalainen.

I had same difficulties with my computer just before Christmas and when I got it repaired I lost every email address I had stored in my computer. So I hope our puppybyers kindly remember me with some kind of email so I'll get again those email adresses. Thanks in advance! Also this longer period with no updates at all is caused by all that mess. I hope I'll soon get back to the old rhytm in updates.
